Catholic Identity
Holy Cross Academy was founded by Catholic laymen after obtaining the personal blessing of the Bishop of the Diocese of Syracuse. Their love for the Catholic Faith and desire to integrate the faith into all aspects of student life was paramount.
Since 2004, the Catholic Education Honor Roll has named HCA a School of Excellence numerous times, and has been recognized in the area of Catholic Identity and Civic Education.
The Honor Roll is administered by the Cardinal Newman Society and recognizes secondary schools throughout the United States that are committed to strong Catholic identity and academic excellence.
The Honor Roll schools display sound academic, moral, catechetical and civic formation that prepares students for vocations in the world as political, religious, scientific and business leaders.
